SHAKEORA · AGREEMENTS
English version ·
These are the terms of use for Shakeora: the website and community in this application. They explain what you can expect from Shakeora and how we handle accounts, recipes, photos and other contributions with care.

Also read our privacy policy and community guidelines.
Shakeora is an online community for discovering and sharing cocktail recipes, mixing tips, ratings, photos and cocktail moments. These terms apply to the use of that website and community. The privacy policy also applies to the handling of personal data, and the community guidelines describe the behaviour expected in the community.
You can view recipes without an account. An account may be required for personal features and to post contributions. Creating an account does not automatically start a paid subscription. If a paid service is introduced in the future, its price and any additional terms must be explained separately and clearly in advance.
These terms do not limit any rights you have under the law. Simply visiting the website does not count as consent to marketing, data processing or new terms.
Use an email address that belongs to you and do not provide misleading information about your identity. A public profile name may be a nickname, but you may not impersonate someone else. Alcohol is for adults only; minors may not use the community to encourage alcohol consumption.
You can sign in using the methods offered on Shakeora at that time. Shakeora uses Supabase for its account and session system. Available sign-in methods may change; an external provider may show its own explanation and consent screen.
Protect your sign-in details and sign out on shared devices. Report suspected misuse of your account through the contact page. You are not automatically responsible for every instance of unauthorised use: the circumstances and applicable law determine who is responsible for what.
Follow the community guidelines. Do not post discriminatory, threatening, misleading or unlawful contributions. Spam, fraud, unwanted sharing of personal data and harassment of other members are not allowed.
Do not try to access accounts or data without permission. Do not disrupt the website or bypass security measures or access restrictions. Report security issues privately through the contact page without publishing other people’s data.
Ratings must reflect your own honest experience. Do not use fake accounts or artificial votes to influence ratings, leaderboards or challenges. Disclose a commercial interest when it is relevant to your contribution.
You retain the rights to your own text, recipe descriptions and images. Only share material you are allowed to publish. Credit sources where required; attribution alone does not give you permission to copy someone else’s photo or text. Ask permission before publishing recognisable people or their private information.
When you submit a contribution for publication, you give Shakeora non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store and publicly display that contribution within the service. This includes technical processing needed for the service, such as resizing images and showing contributions in listings and search results. Translation within Shakeora will respect the meaning of the contribution.
This permission is limited to providing and maintaining Shakeora and does not grant general permission to sell your work separately or use it in advertising outside Shakeora. Separate permission will be requested for that. Technical service providers may only process the contribution to provide the service.
When a contribution is deleted, permission for its continued public publication by Shakeora ends. Temporary technical copies, necessary evidence retention and copies already shared with third parties cannot always disappear immediately. The privacy policy and applicable legal obligations continue to apply.
Recipes and mixing tips are intended as inspiration. Information from members may contain errors, and quantities, alcohol percentages and results may vary because of products, equipment or personal circumstances. Always check the products you use yourself.
Alcohol is for adults only. Drink responsibly, do not combine alcohol with driving or dangerous activities, and follow medical advice and local law. Shakeora promotes alcohol-free alternatives and never encourages excessive alcohol consumption.
Tags, filters and information about allergens or alcohol percentages do not guarantee that a drink is suitable for you or free from a particular allergen. Check product labels and consider cross-contamination. Shakeora does not provide personal medical or nutritional advice.
Contributions may be reviewed before publication. Shakeora may reject, restrict or remove a contribution if it is unlawful, violates the community guidelines, threatens safety or is demonstrably misleading. An account may be restricted or suspended for serious or repeated violations. Any action should be proportionate to the issue.
Where possible, we explain what happened and how you can respond. Immediate action may be needed for a direct safety risk or legal obligation. You can request an explanation and review through the contact page.
Report a problematic contribution using the available report button or the contact page. Include the link, a specific reason and, where possible, information that supports the report. Do not share more personal data than necessary. Reports are reviewed; a report does not automatically mean that a contribution will be removed.
Listings may be assembled using factors such as publication date, ratings, categories, filters and your chosen preferences or followed members. The selected sorting and available data affect which contributions you see; a high position is not a quality mark.
Points, badges and community leaderboards are intended for participation in Shakeora. They have no monetary value and do not by themselves create a right to a prize. If a challenge has a prize or additional entry terms, those must be shown with that challenge. Existing rights that were explicitly promised remain valid.
Shakeora may link to other websites, cocktail bars and activities. Information and availability may change. Check current details directly with the provider before travelling, booking or paying.
A listing does not automatically mean that Shakeora is the organiser or seller. An agreement with an external provider is governed by the arrangements you make with that provider. If Shakeora is the organiser or provider, this must be stated clearly with the offer.
The privacy policy explains which personal data Shakeora processes, why it is processed and how you can submit questions or requests. These terms do not replace the privacy policy and are not general consent to every form of processing.
Your public contributions and profile information may be visible to other visitors and found by search engines. Do not share information you want to keep private. Use the contact page for account, safety or privacy questions instead of a public comment.
You can stop using Shakeora. You can use the available account settings and deletion option through your profile. If you cannot delete your account or one of your contributions, contact us and identify the account or contribution involved.
A deletion request may require a reasonable check to confirm that you are the rights holder. Never share your password for this purpose. What happens to data, public contributions and necessary retention periods is assessed under the privacy policy and the law.
Deleting your Shakeora account does not delete an account with an external sign-in provider. You can manage that provider’s access separately in the security settings of that service.
Shakeora aims to provide a safe and usable website, but cannot promise that the service will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Maintenance, outages and changes at technical service providers may affect availability.
Keep your own copy of contributions you do not want to lose. Where reasonably possible, we will inform users in advance of a major change or planned closure and, where appropriate, provide an opportunity to save their own content. Legal obligations continue to apply.
Shakeora and its users are each responsible for their own actions under applicable law. An error in a user contribution does not automatically mean that Shakeora checked or approved that content.
These terms do not exclude all liability. They do not limit liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable protection in cases of intent, deliberate recklessness or personal injury. Your mandatory consumer rights also remain intact.
The date at the top identifies this version. Changes may be needed because of new features, security or changes in the law. They must be reasonable and will not be imposed retroactively.
A material change for existing users will be announced in advance in a way that lets them save the new text, with an explanation of what changes and when. Where consent is legally required, it will be requested separately. Simply replacing the text on this page is not always sufficient.
You can download the text to keep this version. Contact us if you want to request an earlier version or stop using Shakeora after a change. Rights you have already acquired do not disappear solely because this page is updated.
For questions about these terms, a complaint or a request for review, contact us through the contact page. Identify the relevant page or contribution and explain what you believe is wrong. We aim to reach a careful solution; the complexity of each question may vary.
The use of Shakeora is governed by Dutch law to the extent permitted. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protection under the law that would otherwise apply. You retain the right to bring a matter before a court with jurisdiction under the law. There is no mandatory paid arbitration or restriction to a single court chosen by Shakeora.
